INOMUSA

BUT WHO CAN HEAR US?

I cry,we cry but who will hear us?
their ears have been deafened by bombs
Their eyes blinded by smoke and teargas
their sense of smell has normalised blood stench
Their crippled bodies itch for revenge
Their scarred skins craves retaliation
So tell me who will hear us?

its you and me that hears us
For our ear drums are still clear
They hear the cries of children in Syria
Our hearts are still human
We feel the pain of our mothers in Afganistan
Our eyes are now sore
For we cry with our migrant brothers in South Africa
Only us can save them
We are crying now, peace to the world
But who can hear us?
